Chroma-chem® UCD® 2148Q

Chroma-chem® UCD® 2148Q by Chromaflo Technologies is a water-based silica paste that can be added to finished product to adjust gloss in-plant or in the field. It provides resistance to settling, hard-packing and aids the long-term shelf stability. It is compatible with many resin systems based on acrylic, epoxy, polyester, alkyd, polyurethane and vinyl polymers. It is thixotropic but flows easily. It contains a small level of butyl cellosolve (glycol ether EB) as a co-solvent. It can be used in most industrial coatings including aerosols, automotive OEM, concrete protection, general industrial finishes, general OEM, industrial maintenance, marine and protective coatings. Its recommended usage level is 3-5% by weight of the total coating. The shelf life of Chroma-chem® UCD® 2148Q is 3 years.
